Yiu Erdocia Carlos Kai Shing is a Basque - Hong Kong oboist, singer, producer and dj currently studying at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. Carlos comes from a diverse cultural background - something that influences his music production process greatly. erdocia 's music covers a wide range of genres, often blending the lines of different genres to create different atmospheres in his songs. Carlos has studied under Yiu Song Lam, Kyeong Ham, Emmanuel Laville, Anni Haapaniemi and has received lessons from Jacques Tys, Jerome Guichard, Thomas Indermühle, Fabien Thouand, and Olivier Doise. Currently in the Masters’ programme for Music Performance at the Sibelius Academy, Carlos has played with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Klangforum Wien, Kamarikuoro Viva Vox, as well as orchestras in Hong Kong such as the Hong Kong Generation Next Arts Orchestra.

Carlos actively strives to challenge existing models and attitudes of classical music, incorporating different styles and elements from his own compositions and cultural background, hoping to achieve a unique result that can provoke the audience members’ pre-existing notions of music.

Carlos has also collaborated with different artists to create tracks such as call me and THE STATE OF ME AND YOU in achi 's album A BRIEF MOMENT OF YOU (BONUS) . From indie jazz to electronic music Carlos will continue to explore the possibility of invoking different emotions to his listeners.

Recently he has dived into a more electronic soundscape - making more hardgroove and house tunes to go with his DJ sets wherever he goes.
